Questions and answers
Do I need an account?
Not with us. There’s no sign-up and no server. You only need an account with Anthropic, to get your AI key. The Tutorial walks you through it.
What does logging cost?
You pay Anthropic directly for what you use, usually under a cent per message with the recommended model. Settings → Model → Usage and cost shows an estimate; your real bill is in Anthropic’s Console. A spend limit there caps it. See Bring your own AI for why it works this way.
The app can’t reach the AI. What should I check?
- Your Anthropic account has credit left, and you haven’t hit your spend limit (Billing in the Console).
- The key wasn’t deleted in the Console. If it was, make a new one and paste it in Settings.
- The whole key was pasted. It starts with
sk-ant-. - Your iPhone is online. Anthropic’s status page shows if they’re having trouble.
Can I use an AI company other than Anthropic?
Not yet: the app works with Anthropic’s Claude models. The Bring your own AI idea isn’t tied to one company, and other apps can let you bring keys from others.
My weight isn’t showing.
The app reads weight from Apple Health. Tap Connect on the Weight tab or in Settings. If you said no earlier, iOS won’t ask again: the app’s Settings shows where to turn access on. Readings from the last 90 days are brought in.
Does it sync to my iPad or a new iPhone?
No. Your log lives on one iPhone. Settings → Export data saves it as spreadsheet files (CSV). On a new iPhone, you’ll paste your AI key again: it never leaves the phone it was added to.
How do I delete my data?
Swipe left on any entry to delete it, or delete the app to remove everything from your iPhone. To retire your AI key, also delete it on Anthropic’s API keys page. More in the privacy policy.
Is this medical advice?
No. The targets and estimates are a starting point, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian about your own needs.
